Body Text~Obviously, this seems like a strange thing to find on a bike shop web page!
Nevertheless, we've been repairing vacuum cleaners for a long time now, the legacy of us buying a hardware/electrical shop when our old premises got re-developed back at the tail-end of the 1970's. Most of our electrical repair business these days is involved with the repair of broken Dysons, though we also specialise in the repair of Bissell and Vax machines. We can fix anything on any out-of-warranty Dyson vacuum cleaner. As long as you can bring the machine to us (we're easy to get to, located near Chichester metro station in South Shields) we can fix it. We exclusively use Dyson service parts, as we've found that these are very reasonable priced - the exception to this being flexes, where we use a generic flex, which we've found to be a bit more durable. (We can fit a genuine Dyson flex on request)
We keep genuine Dyson motors, clutches, hoses, brush rollers, wand handles - all of the commonplace parts in stock, and any less common parts, or common parts we're out of stock of can be got in quickly. We try to turn over all Dyson repairs in less than a week, and our rates are reasonable. Common jobs that we do include: Replacing burnt out motors, replacing worn-out clutches, replacing snapped belts, replacing worn out brush rollers, replacing soleplates, fitting new flexes, fitting new hoses and wand handles, unblocking flexible hoses, unclogging the cones on DC07s (a tiresome & mucky job, but we're happy to do it!) etc etc etc.
Replacement motors and clutches supplied and fitted by us come with a 6-month warranty on the part.
If your machine is still in warranty, please contact Dyson themselves. We do not do repairs on machines that are still under guarantee.
